Irish Dancing

"Why walk when you can dance."

The Irish Dancing competition marks the end of the West Tyrone Feis each year with dancing schools from across the district competing and celebrating together. 


This year's Confined Competitions will take place on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th May 2024 and the Championship Competitions will take place on Saturday 11th May 2024. 

Entry Fee Details

Registration: £5 per Dancer
                          £10 per Family
Solo Dance:  £4 per dance
Team Dance: £4 per child
Championship: £6
Team Dance Championship: £5  per child

Maximum entrance fee limit of £80 per family


All entries in this section should be submitted via the online form links above by 26th February 2024 and all appropriate entrance fees submitted by 11th March 2024.

If paying via cheque, please make it payable to 

"West Tyrone Feis." 

Competition Notes

Please ensure dancers are entered into the correct competition for each dance in their age group.

Beginner A Competition: Open to those dancers who are dancing at Feiseanna for their first year and/or who have not previously won a first place in that particular dance in any age age group and are dancing basic steps. 


Beginner B Competition: Open to those dancers who have never won a first place in that particular dance in any age group but may be dancing slightly harder version of the basic steps. 


Pre-Open Competition: Open to those dancers who have never won a first place in a particular dance in the age group specified.


Open Competition: Open to all dancers in that particular age group.

Championship Competition: All dancers competing in the Championship competition must have danced in the Confined competition and must have danced their Heavy Jig.
